Refund policy

Returns or Exchanges

We know it can be difficult to dictate a watch’s size, condition, and appearance online. Considering such, we offer a 3 day return policy - from the date of delivery. This is not a trial period. Our timepieces are meticulously documented by photograph and video - any wear, damage, return in different shape, or return missing contents will void our return policy which will no longer allow you to return the watch. Returns may be subject to a 5% restocking fee.

We also offer a 7 day exchange policy. This entails you to exchange a timepiece purchased from with another timepiece in our inventory. If the desired exchange watch is of greater value, the customer will be subject to pay the difference. If the desired exchange watch is of lesser value, we will be subject to refund the difference to the customer. This is not a trial period. Our timepieces are meticulously documented by photograph and video - any wear, damage, return in different shape, or return missing contents will void our exchange policy which will no longer allow you to exchange the watch.

Once your watch is received by us for return or exchange, it will be closely inspected to ensure it matches the same condition, parts, and contents as it was originally delivered to you. If the item passes a successful inspection clear of any tampering, a refund or exchange will be issued. In the case of a refund, you will receive payment in the manner of which it was received by us. While it is unlikely, if a watch goes missing during a return or exchange shipping translation, an insurance claim will be placed. Only if the insurance claim is successful, that is when the refund will be processed.

All returns are subject to a 5% restocking fee. For example, if you purchase a $10,000 watch that we have in stock and decide to return it, you will be subject to a $500 restocking fee.

We do not offer returns or exchanges on timepieces sourced for a client. In such cases, all sales are final.

Sell or Trade

We are always interested in purchasing 100% authentic modern and vintage timepieces. The brands we are primarily interested in are Rolex, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, Richard Mille, and Vacheron Constantin. The process is simple. Fill out our form and provide pictures, and within two business days we will respond whether or not we are interested. If we are interested, we will provide you with the price we are willing to pay, which will be valid for 24 hours. Considering the watch market is constantly changing, if our offer is not accepted by the customer within 24 hours, the offer will be voided. If you accept our price, we will provide you with a fully insured shipping label for you to send us the watch. Once we receive the watch it will be examined by an expert watch authenticator. If the watch is as depicted by the customer and the customer’s photos and is 100% authentic, we will then bank wire the previously agreed upon amount to the customer.

The same conditions hold true for a trade. If we have a watch in stock that you are interested in and would like to trade your current watch for, that is also possible. Depending on our watches prices and your watches value, a difference in payment by either us, David and Sons Timepieces, or you, the customer, may be applicable.

David and Sons Timepieces will only make purchase offers to eligible customers over the age of 18 years old. You must be able to provide a valid state or government-issued photo identification to ensure that the item is theirs to sell.

The offer value is determined on a number of factors which include the timepiece's manufacturer, model, condition, its market demand, age, manufacturer warranties, and more.

David and Sons reserves the right to cancel a purchase offer at any time and the watch will be shipped back to the owner at our expense. Reasons for refusal may include, but are not limited to: misrepresentation by the customer, bad condition, needing of a service that is not disclosed by the customer, the watch or parts of the watch is not authentic, the watch is not in working condition, and more.

All sales and trades to us are final once the deal is complete

Warranty

If a problem arises with a warrantied watch, David and Sons Timepieces offers a one year warranty from the date of our customer’s purchase. This warranty includes servicing both pre-owned and unworn timepieces sold by us. If the timepiece is still covered by the manufacturer OEM warranty, proceeding with the manufacturer is recommended.

Restrictions and Conditions: What Is Not Covered

Damages and/or losses are not covered under this warranty. Third-party performance of service, opening of a product, or addition of parts other than strap or bracelet components will void the David and Sons Timepieces one year limited warranty. David and Sons Timepieces will, at its sole discretion, determine the applicability of its warranty to each timepiece for which a warranty claim is lodged.
